Born in Barbados and raised in a working-class family, Adrian understands firsthand the challenges facing families striving to get ahead. That lived experience has shaped his leadership—grounded in empathy, accountability, and a deep sense of responsibility to others.

His faith as a devout Christian guides his moral compass and commitment to serving others with integrity and compassion. • Zero Municipal Tax Increases: Amid national economic uncertainty, Adrian delivered balanced budgets with zero tax increases for four straight years, holding taxes steady and prioritizing affordability for Plainfield families.

• Record-Breaking Economic Growth: Under his leadership, Plainfield welcomed nearly $2 billion in new development, transforming vacant lots into thriving businesses, housing, and mixed-use developments that have reshaped the community.

• Historic Crime Reduction: Adrian's investments in community policing and crime prevention technology drove crime down by over 52% since 2013, with zero homicides in 2024—making Plainfield safer than it has been in more than six decades.

• Affordable Housing Expansion: He delivered over 1,000 affordable housing units, ensuring Plainfield remains accessible to residents of all income levels.

• Infrastructure & Quality of Life: Adrian repaved over 50 miles of roadway, renovated every park in the city, and launched free WiFi in all city parks to bridge the digital divide.

• Investing in Youth: He created the Plainfield Promise initiative, providing college savings accounts for every kindergartner and scholarships for economically disadvantaged graduates to attend Union County College.
