A proven public servant leading with experience and empathy.
Four-term Mayor. Community-first leader. Running for Congress in New Jersey’s 12th District.
Adrian O. Mapp is a proven public servant, executive leader, and community advocate who believes leadership starts with listening and is measured by results. A four-term Mayor, Adrian has spent his career bringing people together to solve real problems and strengthen the communities he serves.
Born in Barbados and raised in a working-class family, Adrian understands firsthand the challenges facing families striving to get ahead. That lived experience has shaped his leadership—grounded in empathy, accountability, and a deep sense of responsibility to others.
As Mayor of Plainfield, Adrian delivered safer streets, stronger neighborhoods, and expanded economic opportunity, navigating complex challenges with steady leadership and a focus on people over politics. He built partnerships, managed city operations, and made tough decisions guided by what was best for the community.
Now, Adrian is running for Congress to bring that same practical experience and people-first approach to Washington. He’s committed to fighting for affordability, healthcare access, and an economy that works for everyone—so every community in New Jersey’s 12th District has a voice and a future.
